Repatriating workers

Repatriating American workers refers to relocating employees based at foreign locations back to offices in the USA. Why would businesses have an interest in operating in areas outside the USA? How do you think this practice impacts prices, trade and the overall global economy? Why do you think a U.S. company would send existing employees overseas, rather than hiring individuals who already live in the foreign country? Is it possible that they do both? Make a list of the advantages and disadvantages of living overseas, including the factors a person would have to consider before accepting such a position. Based on your list, why do you think people accept such positions despite the fact that only 22 percent of those surveyed believe they would be rewarded with advancement?
